From Corruptible to Incorruptible

From Lori:We wanted to let you know that Mark passed away peacefully at 12:27 this morning. He was brought from Parkview Hospital to Lake Wawasee yesterday afternoon. It seemed like he just wanted to come home. The family is together and we are so thankful to have had this time together last night. We feel your prayers and know Mark is rejoicing in his real home this morning! Thanks so much for the love, support, prayers and encouragement you’ve shared with us throughout this journey. God has been faithful and we’re anchored in the Rock of Jesus Christ.

From Javon: We want to share a beautiful moment as well with you. In the last moments Mom, Louise, and myself were there while Nick and Bryan's families were almost here (so glad they were safe enroute) and attempting to sing a few songs regardless of how blubbery they were. And they were definitely a joyful noise but a great final memory with him. He was no longer tracking with his eyes or focusing and breathing was sporadic. But at 12:27am, The Lord stopped his congested breaths and took him into life incorruptible. Bryan noticed that Mark 12:27 (notice the name and time) is an awesome verse; and a timely reminder! He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living. I had hoped Dad would get to see at least one sunrise here at Lake Wawasee. It was one of his favorite views. But as I made the comment, the nurse reminded me that he is already seeing the best Sunrise of all.

We've received so many supportive messages, texts, emails, calls...through Dad's journey. We tried to compile most of them to tell Dad (and remind ourselves) regularly. Thank you to everyone who shared verses and encouragement with us.
