Celebrating Birthdays With International Students in Japan

Being here for so long it's been fun to connect with international students in Japan at Tokyo International Exchange School. (Catch up from Day 1) Of course, all of the friends I'm making aren't Japanese since we're all trying desperately to learn the Japanese language. But's it's such a blessing to have fun regardless of our language. Today we had a birthday party with a Pooh ice cream cake from a local Baskin Robbins inside the train station. I love my international friends in Japan!

Ok, first of all, let me say that this Pooh ice cream birthday cake was chosen by the birthday girl, Chantha for her 26th birthday. Popular cartoon icons seem very popular with all age groups here in Japan.

And she just looked so cute trying her very first ice cream cake!

And they pack it with dry ice, so Ahn-san had fun playing around with it while the other girls worked on the meal.
